A log of fitness goals

This page is for moments I am proud of in my fitness journey. I have been working out, mostly, consistently for over a decade (2013ish). I am just starting to log this stuff down. I mean I have logged things down for a while but I am putting some hard goals in place as of late and this is to reflect that.

What do I like to do?

For most of my life I wasn't into fitness, mostly because I wasn't into sports. I had only played some soccer/football as a kid but I never really liked it. In college I got into weightlifting and really enjoyed it. I started with general weightlifting, but kind of did a mix of powerlifting and bodybuilding over the years. In the last two years I have gotten into running as well. I started running because I got a pre-hypertension diagnoses, though I was never supper happy with my cardio fitness. After a while and learning more about it, I started really enjoying it. So I have started cycling by fitness plans and goals with running, bodybuilding, and general strength training.

Running Goals

Run a marathon! Completed Oct 2024 I completed my first ever marathon, the Marine Corp Marathon, on October 28, 2024 with a time of 3:58:50.

Weightlifting Goal

Get into the 1000lb club! Current Goal One of my goals for a while has been to getting in to the 1000lb club. This is where your bench press, squat, and deadlift all add up to 1000lbs. Its a bit arbitrary but hey, its a goal. This is my current hard goal that will be my primary focus. Coming out of marathon training, where I have been focusing only on running for the last threeish months as of the end of October 2024, I have dropped down in my lifting abilities, so starting off I will be focusing on getting back to where I was. Which was:
  • Bench: 225 lb
  • Squat: 275 lb
  • Deadlift: 335 lb
  • Total: 835
